We really enjoyed staying in the lodge as it was comfy, cosy, welcoming and peaceful (all you could hear was peacocks, seagulls, horses). The bedrooms had enough space to store our belongings and the beds were perfect for us. There was plenty of room in the sitting room and conservatory.
I messaged Simon and Jill on the Saturday evening to see if we could extend our check-out time as we didn't feel we would be ready for 10am, after checking with the cleaners we were able to until noon, which we were very grateful for!
We had an very enjoyable stay so much that we didn't want to leave, we could've quite easily stayed for longer! None of us could find a fault with the lodge. Thank you!

We were only there overnight, but it seemed very well-equipped for a longer stay.
Good for horse-lovers- located in what looked like an equestrian centre.
Great communication from owners who warned us of some potential noise disturbance which turned out not to be a problem at all.

  We spent a few days at Stable Lodge and we really enjoyed it! We found the lodge very spacious and clean, the little garden was perfect for kids to run... read more around. Our kids (4.5yo and 2.5yo) were very excited to see horses passing by just outside the lodge, they could even stroke them. Just outside the farm there is a path that takes you to the centre of the village, you can also walk to the train station to watch the steam trains passing by - highly recommended! We also visited Minehead and spent some time on its sandy beach. We had a great time at Stable Lodge and we will be back!

That means that it’s full stocked with utensils and all the amenities you need. I loved having the fire on in the evening and my son loved the diggers and his pony ride!! So peaceful and cosy. We were greeted on arrival and left to it really, which we found excellent due to the information provided in the guest book etc. The area is unique, again we found this beautiful being on a working equestrian centre, the horses added an amazing touch. The location is great as well, a 5/10 minute walk from the local village; pubs, shops and food and then only a 10 minute drive to the sea. Only 20 minutes to Minehead too; that’s got a bit more going on, it’s perfect for everyone. We’d like to thank Simon and Jill for our trip away, every thing was perfect.

  Stay away for my son's 18th, the hosts were friendly along with the horses and peacocks, we took our 2 rescue dogs for the trip and they enjoyed sniffing around... read more the different scents. Apart from arriving and the temperature was zero degrees, once the log burner was flowing it didn't take too long to warm up.
It was very cozy, nice to chill out, relax, and watch all the horses out of the window come and go doing the riding lessons. We made the most of a wet and very windy stay during the storm.

We explored the local areas, found beautiful walks and great pubs. The local beach at Blue Anchor and the Harbour at Watchet were lovely to spend the day at.   Lovely stay over New Year while visiting friends in the area. Weather was awful when we arrived but the lodge was warm & cosy and was kitted out with everything... read more we could need, including towels, tea, coffee, milk, biscuits, dog bowls etc. Great hosts - friendly, helpful and responsive. Lodge is on side of driveway and next to riding school area so there is some noise when lessons/ an event is on as when we were staying, but not unsociable hours. Very muddy around lodge due to very wet weather but conservatory area worked well to leave wet coats, shoes (and dogs!) in before entering main lodge. Nice, relaxed feel and great value for money. Thanks for having us.
