  My friends and I stay (Fri-Sun) for our marathon starting in Minehead on the Saturday. The location was ideal for us as and if we needed to go to the... read more shops it was only a short drive down the road. We really enjoyed staying in the lodge as it was comfy, cosy, welcoming and peaceful (all you could hear was peacocks, seagulls, horses). The bedrooms had enough space to store our belongings and the beds were perfect for us. There was plenty of room in the sitting room and conservatory.
I messaged Simon and Jill on the Saturday evening to see if we could extend our check-out time as we didn't feel we would be ready for 10am, after checking with the cleaners we were able to until noon, which we were very grateful for!
We had an very enjoyable stay so much that we didn't want to leave, we could've quite easily stayed for longer! None of us could find a fault with the lodge. Thank you!

  An absolute gem of a place. The lodge was in a lovely location, was clean and had everything that we needed.

Jill was there to welcome us when we... read more arrived and on hand if we needed anything. Prior to arrival, she was always prompt in responding to emails. We bumped into her a few times during our stay and she was always welcoming and friendly.

Our daughter loved waking up every morning, opening the blind in her room and seeing the horses. She really enjoyed her riding lessons too.

Only a ten minute walk away is a train station and our son loved the journey on the steam train. There were plenty of other things to do close by as well, including beaches, a harbour and Dunster Castle.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay amd would definitely recommened the lodge to others.

A special mention also to Gwenda who took the riding lessons, she was patient with our daughter and gave her a lot of confidence. Also to Sandy the horse, our daughter loved you and was sad to leave.

The roaming horses were so lovely to see, the lodge is a home away from home and we particularly enjoyed sitting in the conservatory with the fairy lights it’s really pretty!   We stayed at the end of half term week, 2 adults and 2 children, and I don't think we could've have found a better place.
Great communication from Simon and... read more Jill, the lodge was easy to find with detailed directions, and a simple check in. (Although we drove past the lodge initially as we were all too busy looking at the horses!)
The lodge was extremely comfortable and warm, with everything we could need for our stay.
Little details can make a real difference, there was tea/coffee and biscuits in the kitchen, and even some cooking oil should we have needed it.
Our 9 and 6 year olds were thrilled to wake up to peacocks wandering by each morning.

All in all a lovely stay, and a great base to explore Somerset and beyond.

  The mobile home is spotlessly clean and the added conservatory gives extra space. Our host met us on arrival and was welcoming and quick to respond to questions. They helpfully... read more offered somewhere dry to keep our bikes.
Unfortunately we were there for less than 24 hours due to a factory directly behind the property that in the last few weeks had started running 24 hours a day and there was a constant rumbling sound along with some crashes and lorry noise making sleep very difficult. We felt that we should have been informed of this as our host was aware a few weeks prior to our stay. Our complaint was dealt with swiftly and we were offered a refund to leave but due to short notice could not find alternative accommodation. We asked for a reduction due to this significant issue with the noise but again were only offered a refund to leave by 5 pm that day. We felt we had no choice and left and missed out on a week of our annual holiday. A holiday is far more than the money you pay for it.
If you are prepared to have the factory noise then this is a great mobile home in a good location at a reasonable price but be aware of the issue and the fact it is all day and night.

We explored the local areas, found beautiful walks and great pubs. The local beach at Blue Anchor and the Harbour at Watchet were lovely to spend the day at.   If you are looking for a stay on the farm, you like horses and peacocks then this is the place to go. Very nice location in a well arranged and... read more built cabin with a nice garden. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Nearby is an old train station where often you can see steam trains coming by. Farm is located within walking distance to the town and local places of interest. It is also just out of A39 so in a great place to use as a base for your trips around the north coast of Summerset, Devon, and Cornwall.
