There was thoughtful touches... read more around the place including pretty fairy lights in the dining area and it was spotlessly clean, you can tell a lot of thought and effort has gone into making this a nice place to stay. Comfy beds, nice fire, kitchen with a proper oven/fridge and freezer, all you could need, decent shower, comfy sofas, wardrobes, heating. Nice relaxing stay. View out of the window to see horses is special too. You also park your 1 car right next to your door, so handy if it is raining when you arrive. 🙂

  Stable lodge was the perfect retreat for a few days away over halfterm.

The Watchet area is lovely with plenty to do for anyone who wants to go out exploring, steam trains, beaches, market and museums, just to name a few.

Just outside the farm there is a path that takes you to the centre of the village, you can also walk to the train station to watch the steam trains passing by - highly recommended! We also visited Minehead and spent some time on its sandy beach. We had a great time at Stable Lodge and we will be back!

The location is great as well, a 5/10 minute walk from the local village; pubs, shops and food and then only a 10 minute drive to the sea. Only 20 minutes to Minehead too; that’s got a bit more going on, it’s perfect for everyone. We’d like to thank Simon and Jill for our trip away, every thing was perfect.

  This was a great short stay. We booked as we were visiting family locally and the location was great for us. The accommodation was clean and comfortable with everything... read more you need to survive (dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, garden space etc) and we loved the extra features like the fairy lights in the conservatory ceiling. It would also have been perfect for a longer family holiday. We found it really peaceful having the ponies and peacocks wandering around us outside and our 2 year old found the riding lessons next door very interesting as he had not seen anything like the before.
