  We love coming here, esp now I have a dog. Upsides- interesting place,esp if you like horses; handy for walks into Williton and the station; great for getting to... read more the coast and places like Minehead, etc. Williton has good range of shops and eating out options; a plus for me is the woodburner. Downside- there is some machinery noise (to be expected in a busy equestrian centre) and also noise from the factory next door. But the fact that I return and would happily return again says all you need to know.

  My friends and I stay (Fri-Sun) for our marathon starting in Minehead on the Saturday. The location was ideal for us as and if we needed to go to the... read more shops it was only a short drive down the road. We really enjoyed staying in the lodge as it was comfy, cosy, welcoming and peaceful (all you could hear was peacocks, seagulls, horses). The bedrooms had enough space to store our belongings and the beds were perfect for us. There was plenty of room in the sitting room and conservatory.
I messaged Simon and Jill on the Saturday evening to see if we could extend our check-out time as we didn't feel we would be ready for 10am, after checking with the cleaners we were able to until noon, which we were very grateful for!
We had an very enjoyable stay so much that we didn't want to leave, we could've quite easily stayed for longer! None of us could find a fault with the lodge. Thank you!

  We spent a few days at Stable Lodge and we really enjoyed it! We found the lodge very spacious and clean, the little garden was perfect for kids to run... read more around. Our kids (4.5yo and 2.5yo) were very excited to see horses passing by just outside the lodge, they could even stroke them. Just outside the farm there is a path that takes you to the centre of the village, you can also walk to the train station to watch the steam trains passing by - highly recommended! We also visited Minehead and spent some time on its sandy beach. We had a great time at Stable Lodge and we will be back!

Great communication from Simon and... read more Jill, the lodge was easy to find with detailed directions, and a simple check in. (Although we drove past the lodge initially as we were all too busy looking at the horses!)
The lodge was extremely comfortable and warm, with everything we could need for our stay.
Little details can make a real difference, there was tea/coffee and biscuits in the kitchen, and even some cooking oil should we have needed it.
Our 9 and 6 year olds were thrilled to wake up to peacocks wandering by each morning.

All in all a lovely stay, and a great base to explore Somerset and beyond.

It was nice seeing all the animals and my 6 year old cousin really enjoyed seeing the horses. I would say it’s not big enough for more than 2 adults and 2 children, there were 4 adults and 1 child on the second night and there wasn’t enough room for us all. I found it also quite expensive, paying nearly £300 for 2 nights for the size of the place. It was strange too how there were a lot of threat of ‘fines’ for different things, we were happy to strip the beds and leave on time if the book had asked nicely rather than threatening to fine, especially £5 per person. However it was a nice location near our Nan and we did enjoy our stay.

  We had a great 2 nights stay. The accommodation was much better than we had expected, with lots of extra space via the conservatory and garden. There... read more were many nice touches such as milk in the fridge, tea bags and biscuits; just what we needed after a long drive up! The fairy lights were a big hit with the children, along with the horses and peacocks wandering around the garden and fields. If you’re a light sleeper and would like a lie in, I’d recommend bringing some earplugs as the accommodation is on a working equestrian centre. It was not an issue for us though and added immensely to the experience of our stay.
