Lovely place. Warm and well equipped

  The mobile home is spotlessly clean and the added conservatory gives extra space. Our host met us on arrival and was welcoming and quick to respond to questions. They helpfully... read more offered somewhere dry to keep our bikes.
Unfortunately we were there for less than 24 hours due to a factory directly behind the property that in the last few weeks had started running 24 hours a day and there was a constant rumbling sound along with some crashes and lorry noise making sleep very difficult. We felt that we should have been informed of this as our host was aware a few weeks prior to our stay. Our complaint was dealt with swiftly and we were offered a refund to leave but due to short notice could not find alternative accommodation. We asked for a reduction due to this significant issue with the noise but again were only offered a refund to leave by 5 pm that day. We felt we had no choice and left and missed out on a week of our annual holiday. A holiday is far more than the money you pay for it.
If you are prepared to have the factory noise then this is a great mobile home in a good location at a reasonable price but be aware of the issue and the fact it is all day and night.

The roaming horses were so lovely to see, the lodge is a home away from home and we particularly enjoyed sitting in the conservatory with the fairy lights it’s really pretty! Clean and tidy and had everything we needed/ wanted.

  A great cosy little getaway. Despite it being cold and rainy, the wood burner made it toasty in no time. The fairy lights were a lovely touch too.

  Simon is an exceptional host. Nothing is too much trouble . This was the 4th time we visited. Once we can get back to some normality we will be back again .

There was thoughtful touches... read more around the place including pretty fairy lights in the dining area and it was spotlessly clean, you can tell a lot of thought and effort has gone into making this a nice place to stay. Comfy beds, nice fire, kitchen with a proper oven/fridge and freezer, all you could need, decent shower, comfy sofas, wardrobes, heating. Nice relaxing stay. View out of the window to see horses is special too. You also park your 1 car right next to your door, so handy if it is raining when you arrive. 🙂

  Great place for a cheap stay

  We stayed at the end of half term week, 2 adults and 2 children, and I don't think we could've have found a better place.
Great communication from Simon and... read more Jill, the lodge was easy to find with detailed directions, and a simple check in. (Although we drove past the lodge initially as we were all too busy looking at the horses!)
The lodge was extremely comfortable and warm, with everything we could need for our stay.
Little details can make a real difference, there was tea/coffee and biscuits in the kitchen, and even some cooking oil should we have needed it.
Our 9 and 6 year olds were thrilled to wake up to peacocks wandering by each morning.

All in all a lovely stay, and a great base to explore Somerset and beyond.

  We absolutely loved stable lodge. It was perfect for what we wanted, somewhere comfortable and cosy to stay as a family with our dogs. It was great to have a... read more secure garden so as not to worry about the dogs. There were lots of spare blankets. The beds were comfortable and everything we needed was there. We explored the local areas, found beautiful walks and great pubs. The local beach at Blue Anchor and the Harbour at Watchet were lovely to spend the day at. The children loved their riding lesson on the farm and enjoyed seeing the peacocks and horses around. Would definitely return. Thanks Jill and Simon.

We all really enjoyed our time here and would be very happy to stay again. It can be quite muddy, so i would definitely recommend taking an extra pair of boots or wellies. I had lived in West Somerset for many many years and had no idea this farm was tucked away. It was a lovely way to spend our Christmas. Thank you so much.

  We spent a few days at Stable Lodge and we really enjoyed it! We found the lodge very spacious and clean, the little garden was perfect for kids to run... read more around. Our kids (4.5yo and 2.5yo) were very excited to see horses passing by just outside the lodge, they could even stroke them. Just outside the farm there is a path that takes you to the centre of the village, you can also walk to the train station to watch the steam trains passing by - highly recommended! We also visited Minehead and spent some time on its sandy beach. We had a great time at Stable Lodge and we will be back!

  We had a great 2 nights stay. The accommodation was much better than we had expected, with lots of extra space via the conservatory and garden. There... read more were many nice touches such as milk in the fridge, tea bags and biscuits; just what we needed after a long drive up! The fairy lights were a big hit with the children, along with the horses and peacocks wandering around the garden and fields. If you’re a light sleeper and would like a lie in, I’d recommend bringing some earplugs as the accommodation is on a working equestrian centre. It was not an issue for us though and added immensely to the experience of our stay.

  What a fantastic long weekend! Our first time using Airbnb and was not disappointed. Hosts went above and beyond to help, giving us suggestions of where to eat and things... read more to do. The hut itself was cosy and we loved the little touches like the biscuits and sweets. Although it looked small from the outside there was plenty of room inside and the log fire was a massive bonus. Would highly recommend!

  If you are looking for a stay on the farm, you like horses and peacocks then this is the place to go. Very nice location in a well arranged and... read more built cabin with a nice garden. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Nearby is an old train station where often you can see steam trains coming by. Farm is located within walking distance to the town and local places of interest. It is also just out of A39 so in a great place to use as a base for your trips around the north coast of Summerset, Devon, and Cornwall.

  Had a lovely stay and lodge was very smart and clean, with very good hosts. Our daughters especially loved seeing the horses from our lodge!

  Had everything we needed and the pub and shop was a 5 minute walk away
