  We spent a few days at Stable Lodge and we really enjoyed it! We found the lodge very spacious and clean, the little garden was perfect for kids to run... read more around. Our kids (4.5yo and 2.5yo) were very excited to see horses passing by just outside the lodge, they could even stroke them. Just outside the farm there is a path that takes you to the centre of the village, you can also walk to the train station to watch the steam trains passing by - highly recommended! We also visited Minehead and spent some time on its sandy beach. We had a great time at Stable Lodge and we will be back!

The owners are very friendly and helpful. Nearby is an old train station where often you can see steam trains coming by. Farm is located within walking distance to the town and local places of interest. It is also just out of A39 so in a great place to use as a base for your trips around the north coast of Summerset, Devon, and Cornwall.

We needed somewhere comfortable and safe for grandparents to look after the kids whilst we went... read more to a wedding near by and it surpassed expectations with a safe enclosed garden, playground facilities, horses to see and more... Our kids were in heaven. We are used to noisey nights with kids and white noise machines but can honestly say the industrial noise was barely heard and not at all on the weekend and we heard the faint choochoo of a steam train once only 🙂 my parents stayed in a nearby hotel as worried about this but were kept up by road noise whilst we slept peacefully! the place has all the amenities you need and is really comfortable with extra touches like milk, black out blinds etc. Thank you so much 🙂
